Our manufacturing client located in San Diego, CA is a certified small, disadvantaged veteran-owned engineering firm. They are hiring a Cable Assembler to join their team! Starting wage is $17 hourly and the schedule is a 9/80 workweek. This position combines knowledge of mechanical technology with knowledge of component assembly. They build and install assembly components.
The Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Cable manufacturing and cable components such as cable cutting, insertion, crimping, stripping, and heat shrinking.
Experience using hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and fixtures.
Ability to read drawing and schematics.
Inspecting cables and components for defects
Know and understand IPC-A-610 (Acceptance) and IPC-WHMA-A-650 (Cable and Wire Harness)
Working hours: 7:15am - 4:45pm
2-5+ years of cable manufacturing experience.
Ability to communicate effectively to all levels or employees, owners, and management.
Must have good manual dexterity
