Kforce Senior Accountant in San Diego, California

Kforce has a client seeking a Senior Accountant in San Diego, California (CA).Summary:This role is responsible for preparation, reconciliation, verification and presentation of information to both internally and within our corporate group; to lead various Accounting and Finance tasks and projects to support the Division Controller, and/or Finance Department, while delivering quality internal and external customer service to ensure all aspects of financial control for new and custom products are met prior to product launch or custom product delivery.Responsibilities include:

  • Prepare, reconcile and verify accounting information to contribute to accuracy and timeliness of the Company's financials

  • Provide high quality, timely support and problem resolution for the organizations goals and financial results

  • Support Controller and CPA Firm with the annual audit

  • Build and maintain ongoing inter and intra-departmental working relationships to assist team members and focus on driving team and organizational goals

  • Self-manage their own time and supervise a team of two

  • Performs Financial Planning and Analysis ad KPI monitoring

  • Perform revenue recognition analysis, and inventory reserve calculations

  • Reviews product costing, including MOH variances

  • Generates multiple Financial Planning and Analysis deliverables

  • Review cash disbursements and initiate wires

  • Process Improvement and Project Management

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required; Master's degree in Business or Accounting preferred

  • CPA License strongly preferred and CGMA designation preferred

  • 3-5 years previous Senior or Staff Accountant experience; Strongly prefer Manufacturing Accounting Experience

  • Strong computer skills including Excel

  • Strong knowledge of ERP accounting software required; Sage 100 Advanced(MAS200) and NetSuite experience a plus

  • Comfortable making decisions with imperfect information, exchanging ideas, information, and opinions with others to formulate and/or arrive jointly at decisions, conclusions, or solutions

  • Ability to effectively present information on a regular basis to management, and others as needed
